OLLI Courses
Course Catalog

To enroll in OLLI courses, you must be an OLLI at UConn member. OLLI at UConn courses are designed for people age 50 and older.
Courses and events are primarily held at UConn Waterbury, with a few off-site course locations each session. UConn Waterbury is a state-of-the-art facility with an attached secure parking garage with proximity to arts and entertainment organizations, retail establishments, and restaurants.
Our in-person courses meet on Fridays. We also offer online courses Monday through Thursday.
Course Structure

Designed for older adults and offered at a lower cost than traditional college courses, OLLI programs are led by retired or semi-retired professionals or educators who reside in the community. The curriculum is member-driven with assistance from UConn administration. The course format is typically guided discussion, rather than lecture-driven, allowing for lively discussion.
OLLI at UConn offers a session every season: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
Most OLLI classes take place in the fall (September through November) and spring (February through May). Classes can meet from one to 10 weeks, typically for 60 or 90 minutes on this schedule:
- 8:30 – 10 a.m.
- 10:15 – 11:45 a.m.
- 12 – 1:30 p.m.
- 1:45– 3:15 p.m.
Winter session classes meet weekly in January, while summer session classes meet weekly in June.
